Student Journey
• The journey of students in the Mawhiba International Olympiad program begins with their participation in the Mawhiba competition. Students must pass the first two stages to be selected for Basic Training, which serves as a foundation for qualifying for training camps.
• As students advance through various training levels, they progress from one camp to the next, ultimately reaching the final stage where they become eligible to represent the team at the international level.
• Participation in international scientific competitions is open to students from grades 8 to 12, provided they successfully pass the candidacy exams at each stage within their respective scientific teams (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, science, and informatics).

Policy on Completing a Student's Journey in the Mawhiba International Olympiads Program.
• Students are required to attend all lectures and activities within the program. Students whose attendance rate falls below eighty percent (80%) of the program's total hours will be disqualified from receiving the certificate.
• Exceptionally, the certificate may be granted to students if their attendance rate is less than (80%) of the program hours, provided they submit an acceptable excuse and that the attendance rate is not less than (70%).
• Students will be excluded from the program if they engage in behaviors that violate ethical standards and public decency, such as bullying, verbal or physical assault, or disregarding the instructions of authorities.

Training for the International Olympiad
Training is considered the true criterion that, through its various stages, distinguishes the individuals capable of continuing the path towards international representation. The training targets two segments: students and teachers across all regions of the Kingdom.
Training - Camps
These camps are designed for students who have reached the required levels of Basic Training, depending on availability. To progress from one training camp to the next, students must successfully pass the assessments conducted during each camp.
It gathers experienced international and local trainers with students nominated to represent the Kingdom in international competitions for approximately two weeks. Nomination for the subsequent camp is based on approved criteria.
Students who have been selected and nominated after passing the prescribed exams.
Requirements for Participation in Training Camps:
1. Students must be of Saudi nationality.
2. Students must achieve the required score in the Basic Training exams to be eligible to advance to the central camps, subject to the availability of spaces.
3. Students must pass the training camp exams to progress from one training camp to the next.
4. Students shall achieve top positions in the exams determined by each team according to the nature of the competition and the number of students participating, to qualify for representing the Kingdom in international Olympiads.
Objectives:
• Completing the training plans specific to the subjects of the International Olympiad (Physics – Chemistry – Mathematics – Science – Biology – Informatics).
• Identifying new problem-solving strategies.
• Mastering the handling of complex scientific problems.
• Raising the level of performance in qualification exams.
• Nomination for the intensive training phase.
Winter Camp:
The Winter Camp marks the beginning of the annual training camps and serves as the starting point for first-level students in their journey toward achieving their goals. Students are enrolled in two distinct training camps lasting up to 12 days, focusing on specific disciplines including Mathematics, Science, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. Each day consists of eight hours of training, which also includes scheduled time for meals, rest, and recreational activities.
Spring Camp:
Spring Camp represents the second stage in the student’s journey, where top-performing students from the Winter Camp qualify to continue their training. Participants delve deeper into their chosen disciplines—Mathematics, Science, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry—through more advanced and focused content. The camp follows the same structure as the Winter Camp, including full-time accommodation and a similar daily training schedule.
Summer Camp:
Summer Camp is the third core training camp within the student training and preparation system for participation in international competitions across the targeted disciplines: Mathematics, Science, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. As with the previous camps, it brings together experienced local trainers and nominated students for an intensive 12-day program.
Elite Camp:
The Elite Camp, held annually in November, takes place before the intensive training phase. Its purpose is to keep students actively engaged with scientific content across the targeted disciplines—Mathematics, Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Informatics—throughout the first semester of the academic year. The camp is designed to prepare nominated students with strong foundational knowledge, equipping them for the upcoming stage of intensive training.
Training - Intensive Training
The Intensive Training is an extended training camp organized in coordination with the Ministry of Education. Students are excused from their regular school duties during the mid-second semester and are hosted at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Jeddah, providing accommodation, meals, and a full board within its campus. This training spans between 100 to 120 days, with short breaks when students return to their families. During this period, students engage in specialized training across the targeted disciplines—Mathematics, Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Informatics.
The training is structured to prepare students for participation in various Olympiads during the current year and the subsequent two years. It is led by elite trainers from both local and international backgrounds and includes hands-on practical training in scientific disciplines, conducted at distinguished universities both within the country and abroad.
Desired Benefits of the Training:
1. Qualifying distinguished students to represent the Kingdom in international competitions.
2. Nominating national teams to participate in international competitions.
3. Enhancing the scientific proficiency of students to enable their admission into top universities worldwide.
