About the program

 

Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program seeks to bring in world-class international initiatives focused on the education and nurturing of gifted students. The program is held in person at select local institutions across the Kingdom and provides full accommodation at the host university for a period of three weeks during the summer vacation.

 

In the program, students participate in intensive enrichment courses in crucial scientific and technical fields, taught by international experts in gifted education. Through these courses, students develop a wide range of scientific and personal skills, alongside academic knowledge, by engaging in various activities and group trips.

 

Note: Registration in the National Program for Gifted Identification is a prerequisite for eligibility to apply for the Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program.

Program Objectives: 

  1. Enrich students’ knowledge in both scientific and linguistic fields.
  2. Support students in identifying their future academic and career paths within scientific disciplines.
  3. Provide hands-on experience in completing university-level projects and assignments.
  4. Showcase national capabilities and prepare students to actively contribute to the Kingdom’s vision of becoming a knowledge-based society.
  5. Foster connections with international universities and broaden students’ opportunities for continued education and global engagement.
  6. Developing students' personal skills.

Nomination and Registration

Registration/Nomination Requirements:

Eligible Students:

Students enrolled in the National Program for Gifted Identification, at Level 3 (Grades 9 to 11).

 

Registration Requirements:

  1. The student must be of Saudi nationality or born to a Saudi mother. Non-Saudi students will be admitted, but their number should not exceed 10% of the total student enrollment.
  2. The student must score 1400 or higher on the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT) (whether done in Arabic or English).
  3. Students who take the Mawhiba MMCAT in Arabic are also required to attain the minimum score on one of the following approved English language proficiency tests.

  4. The student must register using the Enrichment Programs Registration Portal, select the chosen program type, and complete all registration requirements.

Program Partial Exemption Request:

You can apply for a partial exemption of program registration fees through the registration system if you fall into one of the following categories, provided that supporting documents should be attached for verification.

  • Families receiving social security benefits.
  • Individuals registered with a charitable organization.
  •  Children of martyrs.
  • Individuals whose financial incapacity is verified through a legal document, such as an insolvency certificate.

Program Implementation Method

In-person: This is a residential program with students living on campus at the host university.

  • Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University – for female students ( Non - residential program for 2025)

How do I nominate myself/my child/for the Global Mawhiba Enrichment Program?

What are the criteria for registration in the program?
Are parents allowed to visit their children if the program is held inside the Kingdom?

Visits are not allowed in the program and students cannot leave the program premises during their stay.

If I take the Mawhiba Multiple Intelligence Test in English, will I be waived the requirement to obtain a score on one of the English language tests?

Yes, you can suffice by taking the Mawhiba Test for Multiple Mental Abilities in English, but on condition that the score you obtained is 1350 or higher.

What is the language of the program?

English language, as the team implementing the program are international experts.

What are the targeted academic levels for entry into global enrichment programs?

From the third grade of middle school to the second grade of high school (9,10,11).

What is the mechanism for implementing the program?

When is the Global Enrichment Program for Mawhiba held?

The program will be held during the summer vacation for three weeks from Saturday, June 29th to Thursday, July 18th.

Is it required for a student participating in the Global Enrichment Program to live in the program’s headquarters?

Yes, it requires the student to live in the program’s headquarters for the entire duration of its implementation, for male students at King Saud University and female students at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

What are the housing regulations?

The program and housing regulations for students participating in the Universal Enrichment Program are available in the program overview the course/program in which the student is registered, 

Will the student be compensated for the travel ticket to and from the program?

The student will not be compensated for the travel ticket, but Mawhiba provides transportation from Riyadh Airport or the train station according to the times specified in the program’s code of conduct and regulations and housing for students.

What is the entry mechanism for students coming from outside the program city by traveling by land?

They go directly to the program’s housing, where they check in and out according to the times set by Mawhiba, with the importance of the guardian being present with the student upon receipt.

Are daily meals provided for students?

Yes, daily meals are provided to students during the program period including weekends. Snacks are also allowed to be brought or purchased if a service provider is available at the program location.

What do students get after completing their participation in the Mawhiba Global Enrichment Program?

Students will receive a certificate of participation certified by Mawhiba and the program implementing entity, provided that the attendance rate is not less than 80%.

Can a student change the enrichment unit before the end of the registration period?

Yes, provided that there are available seats for the unit to which the student will transfer.

Are the student rooms single or double?

The residence provides rooms for students, and the room can be either double (two students in one room) or single, depending on what is available in the program’s residence.

When will students participating in the program be received?

The reception time for students at the program headquarters on Saturday, June 28, is between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm.

When should participating students leave the program?

Students must leave the program location on Thursday, July 17, at 3:00 p.m.

What does the Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program 2025 include?

 

Program components:

  • Scientific enrichment courses and experiments.
  • Major course to be selected upon online registration in the spring (ranking).
  • Minor course to be selected on campus after the first day of the program.
  • Enrichment Activities to build numerous skills including teamwork,
