The Saudi National Team won one gold and two silver medals at the 20th International Standards Olympiad (ISO 2025), held in Siheung, South Korea, from August 12 to 14, and featured 40 teams from around the world.
This remarkable achievement follows the Kingdom’s debut in last year’s edition, where it earned a bronze medal and a certificate of appreciation, reassuring the ongoing improvement of Saudi students’ performance on the global arenas and the Kingdom’s deep commitment to promoting a culture of quality among young people in line with its national vision.
Saudi Arabia was represented by four student teams from grades 7 to 12, trained and nominated through intensive qualification programs conducted under a strategic partnership between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
The Girls’ Team from grades 7 to 9, comprising Mayan Khan – the General Administration of Education in Makkah, Wajd Hasouba – the General Directorate of Education in Madinah, and Yaman Al-Zahr – the General Directorate of Education in Asir, earned the gold medal.
The Boys’ Team from grades 7 to 9, featuring Ali Al-Ajaj, Fawaz Al-Qahtani – the General Directorate of Education in the Eastern Province, and Talal Al-Qahtani – the General Administration of Education in Riyadh, won a silver medal.
