About the program
The Video Game Development Program comes in response to the rapid growth of the digital games industry and the field it represents that combines technology, creativity, and innovation. The program aims to introduce students to the basics of designing and developing video games using modern game engines, and to enable them to acquire programming, computer thinking, and interactive design skills through practical applications and real-world projects. The program also provides a stimulating learning environment that allows participants to design and develop prototypes of playable interactive games, thus contributing to the development of interactive playable games. Developing their technical and creative capabilities and preparing them for the digital fields of the future.
Program Objectives
- Identify the concepts of video game development and the stages of their design and production.
- Understand the basics of game development engines and work environments used in the digital game industry.
- Acquire basic programming or visual programming skills used to build game logic and interaction mechanisms.
- Apply the principles of computational thinking and problem-solving in game design and development.
- Design interactive elements and levels that achieve the goals of the game and the user experience.
- Create user interfaces and display elements that support the gameplay and interaction experience.
- Develop various gameplay mechanics such as movement, point collection, challenges, and win and lose conditions.
- Developing creativity and innovation skills and working on interactive projects.
- Design and develop a prototype of a playable e and display it professionally.
