Overview
Program Objective
This Program is fully delivered online via Mawhiba E-Learning Portal, outside regular school hours. It targets student in Grades 1 through 9 who have been nominated based on their performance in Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT), as part of the National Program for Gifted Identification. The Program aims to provide gifted students with broader and more in-depth learning experiences than those typically offered in standard school settings. It aims to motivate students to delve into a wider range of mathematical and scientific concepts, thereby unlocking their full potential.
Note: In order to be eligible for nomination to this Program, students must first be registered in the National Program for Gifted Identification.
Mawhiba Advanced Curricula
Mawhiba curricula are structured around three core pillars:
• Values, Attitudes, and Advanced Traits: Such as inquiry, resilience, creativity, independent learning, openness to diverse alternatives, and perseverance.
• Advanced Knowledge and Understanding: Such as conceptual clarity, comprehension of mathematical and scientific topics and their principles, grasping overarching ideas, using proofs, scientific inquiry, and understanding the fundamental structure of mathematics and science.
• Advanced Skills: Such as logical thinking, reasoning, forming abstract mental representations, connecting acquired skills with everyday life contexts and problems, fluency, precision in application, communication skills and tools, metacognitive abilities, generalization, and modeling.
Program Features
This Program provides enrolled gifted students with in-depth learning opportunities that enrich and challenge their abilities beyond what is offered in their regular schooling.
• Students are taught by specialized teachers who are equipped to meet the needs and interests of gifted students by teaching Mawhiba's tailored science and mathematics curricula.
