Common Questions
General
Does nomination guarantee admission to the program?

No. Nomination allows the student to apply. Final admission depends on the readiness of the research and its suitability for the program’s publication pathway.

Does the research need to be fully completed before applying?

The research should preferably be completed or near completion, with sufficient results and data available to begin developing a scientific manuscript.

Does the program support new research or additional experiments?

The program primarily focuses on developing existing research into publication-ready manuscripts and is not intended to support the development of a new research project from the beginning.

Does the program guarantee publication?

No. Publication cannot be guaranteed, as final acceptance is determined by the journal and its peer reviewers. The program aims to improve the quality and readiness of the manuscript before submission.

Is an original research supervisor required?

Yes. The program requires confirmation of the original research supervisor’s involvement, including clarity regarding authorship, data rights, scientific responsibility, and relevant research ethics requirements.

Can scientific publication affect future participation in Ibdaa or ISEF?

Participation in competitions is subject to their applicable rules and eligibility requirements. Students are advised to review the relevant requirements related to prior publication, originality, and student contribution before proceeding with publication.
