The talented Amina bint Abdulrahman Al-Marhabi, an 18-year-old Saudi student, is one of the talented girls in the Eastern Province. She was embraced by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) since her childhood, and was provided with care. She was credited - after God Almighty - and then her parents.

Amina says: “I thank God Almighty for the blessings He has bestowed upon me, for all the blessings of the Generous One deserve thanks. Throughout these years, I have strived to improve myself to build my future, and to be a girl that the nation is proud of, and the best representative of Saudi women. My reliance on myself and my desire to reach my goal, with trust in God Almighty, and confidence and faith in what I possess of abilities, is the idea that motivated my determination to strive and achieve everything I want.”
Mawhiba provided its efforts and care to me when I was 9 years old, and it continues to provide me and other talented men and women in the country with care programs and other things.

My culture of innovation and scientific research was strengthened at the age of 12, when I had the opportunity to participate in the Creativity Olympiad, which has been a journey of learning and research until now.

I found myself facing a profound human experience through which, in a very short time, I was able to write my name in letters of light when I invented a device for people with special needs when I was 12 years old, and participated with it in the 2015 Creativity Olympiad, which was a strong starting point for me. Social service and love of good were and still are among my priorities in my creative field, and targeting this segment of society is like a charitable work that I will remember throughout my life.

I worked on developing my innovation and participating with it again in the 2016 Creativity Olympiad, and now I am participating with it as a charitable work and presenting it to the Sawaeed Association for Physical Disability in the Eastern Region to serve its members.

My curiosity was aroused and my passion grew more and more until I became more accomplished and advanced in this aspect until I presented the invention (the solar-powered automated container) which aims to collect waste and recycle it in an innovative way that serves the environment and society. I participated with it in the 2017 Creativity Olympiad.

I was also nominated for the Mawhiba Scale in the third intermediate grade and passed the required standard. I had the opportunity to participate in the Mawhiba Summer Enrichment Programs at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University for the years 2018 and 2019 and other Mawhiba Enrichment Programs.

I participated in the 2018 Creativity Olympiad with a scientific research that talks about (medicines causing poisoning when the patient takes them incorrectly with milk and inhibiting the effectiveness of this poisoning), and I also participated in the 2019 and 2020 Creativity Olympiads by inventing a new and innovative technology that records our personal losses.

Since 2018 until now, I have been working on a research study on my innovation (a game in the field of general multiplicative mathematical counting and expanding on that).

Amina concluded by saying: (The Creativity Olympiad refined my talents, discovered my inclinations, developed my abilities, and formed broad social relationships with different segments of society).

I also became a reference for my classmates in the field of scientific research, and an encourager, influencer and motivator for them to register for the Creativity Olympiad, but I did not see any interest from them.

During these years, I did not have the opportunity to win in the Creativity Olympiad, but I advise every Saudi woman to participate in the Creativity Olympiad, because the brilliance of the great benefits that I gained is more beautiful than the brilliance of winning, and perhaps whoever wins it will get both brilliances; the brilliance of winning and the brilliance of gaining benefits. Of all the scientists of our time and the ancient ages of history, there was no genius who excelled in his field and amazed those around him with his great achievements and inventions that served and continue to serve humanity until now and make their lives more prosperous, except after long striving, renewed enthusiasm, and confidence that the future is more beautiful, and as Prince #Khaled Al-Faisal said at the closing ceremony of the Creativity Olympiad, “The origin of great things is flashes of an idea.”

And I say: "Do you think that achieving bliss is easy, without climbing the stairs and paying the price?!"

Because I am a strong girl and proud to be one of the Saudi inventors who paved the way for girls who came after them in this field, no force can defeat the will and nothing greater can confine the Saudi girl to several fields except herself if she submits to the opinions of society.
