Registration Period
Registration for the National Gifted Olympiad, Research Track (Ibdaa) is open from August 20 to September 30.
Research Track (Ibdaa) Registration Requirements
- Participants must be Saudi nationals, enrolled in middle or high school, and between 11 and 20 years old.
- Participants must register for Ibdaa through the track’s online form. Projects that have not been registered through the form will not be accepted.
- Students across all Saudi schools are eligible to participate. The Executive Committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant if any information provided in their registration details is found to be inaccurate.
- Participants must select a project supervisor in accordance with the specified guidelines. If any of these guidelines are not met, the supervisor will not be approved. Supervising a project does not entitle the supervisor to any financial rights or compensation if the project wins at any stage of the Research Track (Ibdaa).
Participants are required to attend in person on all days of the qualification and training programs, the central fairs, and the National Gifted Olympiad Finals. The Executive Committee reserves the right to disqualify participants who fail to meet the attendance requirements.
Participants must review and comply with all Research Track (Ibdaa) guidelines, regulations, and requirements published on the Mawhiba website and approved by the Executive Committee.

Key Information for Participants
Participants must complete the required forms for their respective fields, nsuring that all dates are accurately recorded using the Gregorian calendar and that all required signatures are included. The following requirements must also be observed:
- Projects involving animals: Experiments must be conducted in an appropriate environment and limited to observing and monitoring animal behavior. All activities must safeguard the animal from direct impact, harm, or risk and adhere to applicable regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Projects involving hazardous or internationally prohibited materials: The participant’s role must be limited to observation and monitoring. International safety and security requirements must be strictly followed, and the work must be conducted under the supervision of a qualified academic or scientific supervisor specialized in the relevant field, in accordance with applicable regulations in Saudi Arabia.
3. Projects involving human participants, such as distributing questionnaires:
General questionnaires: These are used to assess the effectiveness of a project without collecting personal data or personal opinions. Participants are not required to provide their names or their written consent.
Questionnaires targeting a specific group based on factors such as age, gender, or occupation require a written consent, in addition to completing Form No. 4, available on Mawhiba website, and obtaining a consent’s form from each participant. For individuals under the age of 18, a parental or guardian consent is required. For individuals residing in care facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), approval must be obtained from the authorized person.
4Participants receive a direct feedback on their projects from the judges at the central fairs and the National Gifted Olympiad Finals, through questions and discussions conducted during the judging interview only. This feedback is not available through either the Ministry of Education or Mawhiba.
5. Judging results are final and are not subject to discussion or appeal.

- Select the National Gifted Olympiad Registration service.
- Complete the required information and requirements.
